Sean J. Mick, age 38, of Baraboo, passed away unexpectedly on September 5, 2024 at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, as a result of complications from surgery.

He was born in Madison, WI on July 3, 1986 to Jim and Sue Mick. Sean graduated from Waunakee High School in 2004 and went on to work in food service, most recently at Sauk Prairie Hospital.

Sean met the love of his life, Kim Hoffman, in 2008 and they married in 2013. One of Sean’s greatest dreams was realized when son, Arlo, was born in 2016, followed by daughter Pearl in 2018. He loved video games, the Packers, the Brewers, house projects, playing with his kids, animals, thunderstorms, and his family.

Sean will be remembered for his infectious smile, outgoing personality, kindness, and the unending love he had for his family and friends. He never ended a conversation without saying “I love you” and for that we are forever grateful.

Sean is deeply loved and will be missed dearly by his beloved and loving wife, Kim, and their children, Arlo and Pearl; parents, Jim and Sue Mick; sister, Cristin Colvin and nieces, Leah and Hailey; in-laws, Terry and Ann Hoffman; grandmothers, Anita Jacobson and Carol Nelson; and many other family and friends.

A public visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, on Friday, September 20, 2024 from 3-6 pm.

As a huge sports fan, Sean would encourage everyone to wear their favorite Wisconsin team gear.

A private service will be held for family.

In lieu of flowers, the Mick Family Fund has been established through Summit Credit Union to support his wife and children.

There is a hole in our lives that will never be filled. We will love you forever and ever and will keep you with us always.
